  1. Clemson (4–0) ( — )

The Tigers took care of business once again in a sizable victory over Charlotte.

2. Alabama (4–0) ( — )

The Crimson Tide are yet to be tested but continue to smother their much weaker opponents; this time it was Southern Miss.

3. LSU (4–0) ( — )

Another very dominant performance from the Tigers allows them to stand pat at #3.

4. Ohio State (4–0) (+1)

Another impressive showing boosts the Buckeyes up one spot past Oklahoma.

5. Georgia (4–0) (+1)

Victory over highly ranked Notre Dame team allows Bulldogs to leapfrog Oklahoma as well.

6. Oklahoma (3–0) (-2)

Obviously did nothing wrong over the Bye Week. After over-valuing a win over Houston earlier in the season and impressive wins by OSU and UGA, the Sooners fall out of Top 5.

7. Auburn (4–0) ( — )

The Tigers have not been talked about much but with victories over two ranked teams, they are certainly a force to be reckoned with in the SEC.

8. Texas (3–1) (+1)

Longhorns up one spot after a nice win over a quality opponent (Oklahoma State).

9. Wisconsin (3–0) (+1)

Bullying Michigan was the statement of the week. However, not enough help from other teams results in just a one-spot jump.

10. Notre Dame (2–1) (+1)

Up one spot after a loss? Yep, you read that right! Playing Georgia close was very impressive and with the Michigan loss, the Irish move into the Top 10.

11. Oregon (3–1) (+2)

Nothing really stands out about their win over Stanford, but a win is a win and losses by Michigan and UCF allow a two-spot jump for the Ducks.

12. Penn State (3–0) (+2)

The Nittany Lions benefit from a bye week, once again thanks to Michigan and UCF.

13. Florida (4–0) (+5)

I have been an open doubter of Florida but with some help ahead of them, and a solid win over Tennessee, they shoot into the #13 spot.

14. Iowa (3–0) (+5)

The Hawkeyes make a five-spot jump on their bye week thanks to some mayhem ahead of them.

15. California (4–0) (N/A)

The undefeated Golden Bears take advantage of the before-mentioned mayhem and make their season debut. Their resume includes a win over #16 Washington.

16. Washington (3–1) (+8)

The Huskies dominated BYU (my #25 from last week) in every way this weekend, and thus shoot up past this week’s losers.

17. Michigan (2–1) (-9)

It’s hard to pinpoint this Michigan team but regardless of losing to a Top 10 Wisconsin team, they looked ugly. One more loss and they fall out.

18. Utah (3–1) (-3)

In a wild Friday night matchup, the Utes suffered their first loss to a quality USC team. USC is good enough to merit Utah remaining in the Top 20.

19. Boise State (4–0) (+4)

Boise State continues to win games, and as long as they continue to do so, they will climb. No real signature wins but the Broncos will be dangerous as the season continues.

20. Army (3–1) (+2)

The Black Knights took care of business once again and benefit from some key losses in the teens.

21. USC (3–1) (N/A)

The Trojans’ victory over #18 Utah allows them to make their season debut in the Top 25.

22. Virginia (4–0) (N/A)

Much like Boise State, Virginia just continues to win games against solid opponents. In a weak ACC, the Cavaliers could make a real run.

23. Oklahoma State (3–1) (-3)

I really like this Oklahoma State team. A close loss against Top 10 Texas certainly should not drop the Cowboys too far.

24. Texas A&M (2–2) (-8)

The Aggies have had probably the toughest schedule so far. They haven’t proven anything substantial yet but losses to two Top 10 teams shouldn’t prevent them from remaining in the Top 25.

25. UCF (3–1) (-13)

A loss to Pitt will certainly drop any team pretty far, thus the 13 spot fall for the Golden Knights. This, however, is still a quality enough team to be considered one of the Top 25 in the nation.
